Guest House vs Hotel : Under the new rules, the Glenross is Rated as a 4 star Silver Award winning Guest House and not a Hotel. This means we offer you beautifully furnished accommodation and public areas, parking, 3 course wonderful home cooking at 6.30pm, limited bar service, free wifi, rooms with many facilities and a homely and welcoming atmosphere all at a sensible,good value price.
We do not offer room service, lunches, sports facilities, lots of departmental staff , flexible dinner times. In other words, you get at the Glenross as our customers say " Exactly what it says on the tin ! " because we believe in honesty of what we offer and then there can be no dissapointment for those expecting more.
PRICES: Are per person and VAT is not applicable.
A DEPOSIT: is required in order to confirm the booking. Rooms are provisionally held for up to 7 days pending a deposit. £25.00 per person when staying up to 4 nights and £50.00 per person when staying for 5 nights or more. Rooms are subject to availability. Outstanding balance to be paid within 24 hours of arrival, except for Christmas where full or outstanding balance is made by the 1st October.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Up to 31 days prior to your stay: 50% of total booking / 14 days and under : 85% of total booking including deposit if one has already been paid. Insurance to cover your responsibilities is therefore recommended to cover this cost that you are obligated to pay in the event of any cancellation. Christmas: between October 1st and November 31st: 75% of total booking and therefore no refund. In all cancellations if we are able to resell your booking, only the deposit is kept and no further balance is required.
HOLIDAY INSURANCE: We always advise taking out insurance. In the event of having to cancel your holiday for any reason, it gives you the peace of mind you need. Details are included with confirmation letter or available upon request. Please choose the Insurance Company of your choice that best meets your requirements.
STRICTLY NON-SMOKING: The Glenroos is 100 Non-Smoking (except Patio).
SPECIAL NEEDS: Any Mobility difficulties such as managing our Entrance Steps (see brochure) or any other Disabilities / Gluten Free / Diabetic / Extra Pillows / Any Meats or basic foods or ingredients not eaten / Allergies or any other Special Needs, etc. Please advise us when booking so that we can confirm if we are able to accommodate your needs in order to ensure that you have a lovely time.
GLENROSS CAR PARKING AND TRAIN / COACH COLLECTION: Car Parking is available for All cars (Normal Size Cars Only). 10 spaces for the 10 rooms including the 2 entrance parking spaces. ( Car keys are handed in to the owners for these 2 spaces to allow other guests to move cars if needed ). Complimentary transport to and from the Coach / Railway Station maybe available if arrival time is before 3pm and is booked in advance of the arrival day (subject to availability).
SERVICE TIMES & DINING: Breakfast is served 8am until 9am, Dinner is served at 6:30pm. Dinner is ordered at breakfast of that day or by 3pm for New arrivals. If arriving later, you need to pre-order. Our bar is open from 6pm until 8pm with room / lounge service available until 10pm (subject to availability). Check in from 1pm on day of arrival, check out is 10am on the day of departure. Earlier arrivals welcome given notice. We offers stays on a Bed & Breakfast Basis, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Basis and a Dinner Optional Basis. Dinner optional allows you to book your meal each day giving you flexibility to choose whether to eat in or not. Dinner for all guests on Bed & Breakfast is charged at £13.50 per person. This facilities is subject to availability.
PAYMENT METHODS: Credit Cards are accepted with a 2% commission charge. Cheques accepted with a valid guarantee card. Cheques are made payable to: Glenross Hotel. Cash payments preferable.
SUPERIOR BEDROOMS: We have 2 Double Bed Superior's each of which have Bath & Shower facilities. The supplement for a Superior Bedroom is £15 per room per night.
SINGLE OCCUPANCY: May incur a charge of up to £4 per night in a Single Room and up to £10 per night in a Double Room depending upon the time of year. Single Occupancy in a Double Room is subject to availability during the season. Single Occupancy in a Double is not applicable at Christmas.
BANK HOLIDAYS & SUPPLIMENT: Easter and 2nd May Bank Holidays: Add £2 per person per night for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (No supplement is staying 5 or more nights.)

* 2 Nights Minimum Stay - Sorry, no 1 night stays.
* No REFUNDS are given for any meals or nights accommodation not taken.
* This tariff is subject to a variation at any time except that of confirmed bookings.
* Any damages to the property or any fittings or fixtures during your stay will have to be paid in full
