Welcome to the Glenross in Torquay, Devon. We are a family run Establishment set in a detached Victorian building with 12 quality bedrooms.

The Glenross has recently benefited from an ongoing internal and external refurbishment programme. Which this year has included the installation of UPVC double glazing to some of our bedrooms. We are now a 100% non-smoking establishment. (except on our patio).

This continuing programme of work has earned us our ETC Classification of 4 diamonds, combined with a Silver Award recognising our high standards.

We can cater for up to 22 guests at any one time, making it a most comfortable and friendly venue for your stay whether it is to be a short break or annual holiday. All of our bedrooms and public areas are decorated to a high standard with that personal touch to make you feel at home.

Our homely lounge area located near reception is cosy and comfortable for you to relax in, after a busy day, together with a teletext television and coffee table with games. Our restaurant and bar are decorated and furnished with a bistro theme, polished wooden tables and chairs, walls hung with pictures and nik naks in keeping of a bistro / pub. Our corridoors, stairs and landing areas flow through and are all decorated in a rich cream and green theme with matching radiator covers, tasteful pictures and bedroom doors painted white with gold fixings and enhanced panelling.

Our bedrooms are all en-suite with shower facilities, toilet and sink, except our two Superior rooms, which both benefit from having much larger bathrooms with both a bath and shower. They also both benefit from having a comfortable seating area with table for you to unwind at.

All our bedrooms have been decorated in mainly greens, yellows and creams and then furnished with tasteful furniture and fittings, they vary in layout to accommodate double, twin, triple and single occupancy requirements. All bedrooms benefit from having a selection of hot beverages and biscuits, remote controlled colour television, hair dryers, tissues and alarm clock radios. Our rooms (except singles) now also boast a fridge for your use during your stay. Some also have room fans.

We have an excellent reputation for plentiful home cooking producing enjoyable 4 course meals with different choice menus each evening and hearty breakfasts to start your day. Menus can be tailored to suit most dietary requirements.

The Glenross is situated in a prime location of Torquay. A short and level walk will take you to Torre Abbey Gardens and onto the Seafront Promenade or your can walk directly into the Town Centre. The Princess Theatre and Marina areas are also only a short distance from the Glenross, as is the train and coach stations.

Andrew and Janet, the proprietors, are here to assist you with making your stay in our small, friendly, independent establishment a most enjoyable one, whether it be courtesy transport from train / coach stations, most dietary requirements, extra pillows, blankets, reception level bedrooms, hiring of items, i.e wheelchairs, we are more than happy to make your stay as easy as possible.
